Poster Analysis - Conclusion

I have analysed a range of posters and there are many conventions that appear frequently regardless of the genre the film belongs to. These include:

• title of film
• billing block
• production company logos
• tagline
• social media links
• website
• names of actors
• mise-en-scene indicating genre
• name of director
• reference to other films
• release date
• sound logos
• reference to source material

I also believe that posters often include some other elements that I didn't notice. These include:

• reviews
• reference to awards

I am going to do further research into posters for the heist genre now, to see how the above conventions are adapted for genre. I will try and incorporate a number of the conventions I have found into my poster.
