Poster Analysis - Introduction

To help me understand the design and layout conventions of film posters I am going to analyse a range of posters. I have chosen posters from different genres so I can see if the conventions remain the same regardless of the genre the film being advertised belongs to.

The posters I am going to analyse are from the following films:

• Captain Marvel (superhero genre)
• Pet Sematary (horror genre)
• The Public (drama genre)
• A Madea Family Funeral (comedy genre)
• Interstellar (science fiction genre)
