Analysing Existing Billing on Posters

I have decided to take a closer look at existing billing on posters. I have chosen to look at one heist movie and one from a poster from a film from another genre.

This is from The Hatton Garden Job (a heist movie).

This is from Zodiac (a thriller).

The billing is where the most important cast and crew get credited on a poster. It is normally written in steel tongs (a specially designed font for billing) and it usually appears towards the bottom of the poster.

Most billing blocks follow the same order - production company names, then the director, followed by the film name.

The second line includes actors, then various crew including casting director, editor, director of photography, production designer and costume director as well as music composer.

The third line will have the executive producers and other producers.

The last line has the writers and the director again.

I am going to follow a similar pattern when creating my billing, picking crew who have worked within the heist genre to give my billing block an extra layer of authenticity.
